Asch's conformity study
A study investigating conformity using line judgement tasks, showing the influence of majority opinion.
Milgram's obedience study
A study on obedience to authority, where participants were instructed to administer electric shocks to a learner.
Types of conformity
Compliance (public change, private disagreement), identification (temporary change), and internalisation (deep, permanent change).
